I of course look for guns that are more a "diamond in the rough" and look to pay less, but if appearance matters, then it sounds like a good one. To give you an idea, I paid quite a lot less for each of my FWBs, though neither are in great shape cosmetically, and I had to put a lot of work into my older gun on top of it. is the price right on a fwb 124?Īs you know these guns aren't made any longer, so they hold their value pretty well. The stock gun is extremely easy to cock and is still shooting around with Crosman Pointed pellets. The difference in power is big and these guns seem to take well to a tune. I have one stock FWB and the other has Maccari's kit. Its a great kit and adds about fps over stock velocities, as well as being a nicer, more linear recoil. Like Rob said, it will need a new piston see at a minimum and perhaps a new spring or breech seal. The deluxe is basically a regular Sport that's had comsetic things added to it.īoth shoot just as well and my non-deluxe San Rafael model just edges out my older San Anselmo dexluxe by a hair. The stock has checkering at the grip, a grip cap with white spacer, a buttpad, and lastly a set of built-in sling swivels. The deluxe model is the same as the regular Sport, but has a nicer stock. One factor in what a Feinwerkbau is worth is whether or not it is the deluxe model. Rob Hawkins Tuner Shooter Posts: It'll need a piston seal. Did you miss your activation email? Winning is as easy as picking a number, no strings attached! A great price on them here at Champions Choice, which had always had a lower price on them than the other AG shops.Īccurate but I find everything from cocking to the buzz, twang and kick makes it an unpleasant experience. The question is the extra cost worth it over an HW or AA? Since they never really took off there aren't that many around. They still aren't cheap but have come down in price quite a bit. I still think they are a very fine rifle. It just couldn't live up to the hype and the crazy high price tag. At the end of the day all the hype was a let down. For the most part people who spent the big bucks didn't say much. Then the rifle came out and it was crickets. Unfourtunately there was so much hype, not from FWB but from the public, anticipating the greatest spring rifle ever made. You mention your club? Would that be field target by chance? Does it seem to have a consistent and predictable POI or does it like to shift with temperature and air density changes like some springers do? Did you have it tuned, do it yourself, or just shooting it as received? I am sure they are nice rifles. That is exactly the kind of information I am looking for. Beautifully built but needs to be de-tuned to say, a power-level. There was a brief buzz about them when they first came out and a few reviews with mixed results. Just bought a HW30 which I think would be similar. I've researched a little but about all I can find is Gaylord's 8 part review and a guy on the GTA forum that bought one when they were first released about four?

The newer version of the FWB Sport has caught my eye I guess the older also went by the "sport" designation.
